Cultural Concept Shoot - Carol Samuelu | Am. Samoa Portrait Photographer

I had asked Carol back in April/May if she would be able to do a concept shoot for me.. Amazingly, she agreed! We were finally able to get together last Saturday.. and we had a blast!! She totally rocked her traditional tattoo for taupous (malu's).. and I wanted to capture that essence. I've always thought that tomboys make the best models.. they just ask me what I want them to do.. and they just do it.. no questions asked.. They completely go with the flow.. Carol did a fabulous job! She was able to come to Amalau to do our concept shoot.. Thank you Carol for traveling on the other side of the mountain to get it done. Makeup was done by Amelia.

I have to say.. she was a little reserved about the semi nudity.. But she came through ten fold. It started to rain a little... but we just kept on shooting.

She's a natural. Thank you again Carol for everything! Thank you to Amelia for the assist!

Make A Wish Foundation New Zealand - American Samoa

Here's a preview from the Make A Wish Foundation New Zealand gift presentation to 7 special and precious children of American Samoa. Gilli Sinclair from MAWNZ was on hand to make the gift presentations, as well as Ele Malae from LBJ. Thank you ladies for the opportunity to be part of a beautiful event. The kids had SO. MUCH. FUN! There were HUGE baskets of gifts, laptops, phones, iPod Touches, Transformers, Barbie coloring books, crayons and so much more for these great kids! Thank you MAWNZ and LBJ!
